Chrome, murdered out Crossfire with vanity plate DRECUT. The front looked even worse...

Ahh shit here comes the Crossfire hate. That one does look like crap though.

Nothing says, "I don't give a fuck about anyone else" like wrapping your car in chrome and blinding everyone around you.

He does not approve, nor does he cut.
And... after a google search, could it be this guy? https://twitter.com/DRECUT
EDIT: BAM CONFIRMATION:

That's a Chrysler Crossfire shifter boot in his photo, so... we have a confirmed asshat. Go spam his twitter feed.

I don't really dislike the Crossfire, this one however is terrible.

Maybe he's trying to pretend it's an Audi? After all, Chrysler was owned by Mercedes during the Crossfire years.

Why does everyone hate the crossfire? Because Mr. Grumble Clarkson says we should?

Luckily this is in Portland, so there's no sun for a good 9 months a year. Looking through his twitter, he has a pic of someone next to him holding up a paper to block the glare.

Wow, the chrome looks terrible with that big dent in the rear bumper. If you are gonna chrome it, it's gotta be smoooooth.

Yeah I don't have twitter, but I was looking at it and laughing. The thing has red underglow as well lol.

because they're weird looking. And because they dont have rack and pinion steering, which is kind of amazing considering they're supposed to be a sports car.
That said, like what you like, I'm sure i like a ton of cars that are considered ugly by most people and have serious faults as bad if not worse than those of the Crossfire.
![]() 09/13/2013 at 20:44 |

I'd rather have a Crossfire than anything with a chrome wrap.
![]() 09/13/2013 at 20:56 |

Chrome wrap? In Portland? That's about as logical as buying a Lamborghini Diablo on slicks to run around Buffalo construction sites in the hills during winter.
Like, just the lightest moisture and that car is going to be a nightmare of spotty speckled dots! I couldn't imagine trying to keep that thing clean and I own a gloss black car!

Hah, I've pushed many a car free from shitty Buffalo weather on the way to the bar, there's no such thing as a "light dusting" there... He did put a chrome rap on a crossfire, so logic and rational thinking are clearly not one of his strong points.

Couldn't. Agree. More.
"He did put a chrome rap on a crossfire, so logic and rational thinking are clearly not one of his strong points."

He's a fucking ASSHOLE, too.

Someone needs to throw him to a dark corner of the internet who would be happy to spam him and troll his twitter.
Not that I would do that, but I strongly suggest it.

Just thought I'd comment .... The steering is quite numb, but very accurate.
There is no noticeable off center slack, and besides countless cars now-a-days have numb steering.
Also I don't like blending in.

I'm a pretty big fan of steering feel, but here's the honest truth: I'd way way way rather drive a crossfire than 90 percent of the cars on the road.
Yes, as far as sports cars go, it's far from my favorite, and i wish the srt-6 came with a stick. But it's quick, relatively light, has a short wheelbase and isn't boring. Like I said, about a million times more fun than most of what's on the road.
So even if I might hate from time to time, it's not true dislike, just half assed snobbery that isn't really serious.

Thank you for being honest sir. It has been a good, fun car so far (about 9 months in to owning it).
But regarding "Yes, as far as sports cars go, it's far from my favorite..." I'll be honest, I would of preferred a S2000, but since I'm still in college, I couldn't justify the extra $$.
